The faster you can classify a confession as harmless, harmful, or gray, the more time you bank for the genuinely hard calls.
Beware the twist sins. Some confessions are engineered to read mild but hide a monstrous detail in the tail of the sentence, or read horrifying but resolve into something innocent. The tell is always in the full text, so finish reading before you commit. The single most common way good players lose a combo is condemning an innocent twist or forgiving a buried atrocity because they reacted to the first half of the sentence.
When to Gamble the Gray Zone

Practically, that means watch for the plateau — when your Soul-per-minute rate stalls and each upgrade feels marginal, you've squeezed the run dry. Cashing out then converts a stale run into a permanent multiplier that makes your next run reach the same point far faster. Resist the urge to "just hit one more milestone"; an early, well-timed ascension usually compounds faster than a long, stubborn run. Reinvest each fresh run's early Souls into Lesser Angels so your auto-judges carry the idle stretches.
Exploit the Active Decree
The rotating Decree in the banner is free value if you actually play to it. When a Decree boosts a particular category or changes how combos pay, reshape your behavior around it for its duration: prioritize the favored confessions, push your combo harder while the bonus is live, and bank the surplus. The arbiters who treat Decrees as background noise leave Souls on the table; the ones who time their riskiest combo pushes to coincide with a favorable Decree post the biggest numbers. Always glance at the banner at the start of a run and whenever it changes.
Chasing Golden Sins
The Divine Pot fills quietly as you judge, and a golden sin is your chance to cash it in for an outsized payout. Two habits matter here. First, stay alert — golden sins shimmer, and missing one because you were on autopilot is pure waste. Second, never let the size of the prize rush you into a misread: a golden twist sin is still a twist, and condemning an innocent jackpot hurts twice. Judge the golden sin on its merits, just faster and with full attention. Because the Pot grows the longer you go, deep runs are where the fattest golden payouts live, which is another reason to keep Corruption in check and stay on the bench.
